Palestine Marathon 2014
Right to Movement came into existence in April 2013, as a conceptual bi-product of the inaugural event Palestine Marathon. Based in Bethlehem in the West Bank, Palestine Marathon gives the Palestinians an international sporting event, which symbolizes the basic human right of Freedom of Movement.
Based on the success of the event – in terms of local integration, international participation and international media coverage – Right to Movement has been established as a separate entity, a non-profit that organizes Palestine Marathon as well as other events, in order to promote the right to movement in a broad sense – particularly in areas, such as the West Bank, that has restrictions on their freedom of movement.
In collaboration with the Right to Movement I created the course map for Palestine Marathon 2014.
For the first Palestine Marathon in 2013 I developed a series of documentary photographs, which can be viewed here.
